Federal agents conducted raids on properties owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs across Los Angeles, New York, and Miami on Monday, marking a significant escalation following a recent lawsuit implicating the music mogul in allegations of sex trafficking and other misconduct.

A spokesperson for Homeland Security Investigations New York confirmed the raids, emphasizing their part in an ongoing investigation supported by HSI branches in Los Angeles and Miami, along with local law enforcement. The statement alluded to forthcoming details as the inquiry progresses.

Despite inquiries, representatives for Combs remained silent on the matter.

These events unfold roughly a month after Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a producer, lodged a lawsuit against Combs, alleging sexual assault and trafficking. The legal action marked the fifth lawsuit aimed at the rapper since November when his former partner, Cassie, legally known as Casandra Ventura, initiated legal proceedings against him for sexual assault.

Douglas Wigdor, Ventura’s attorney, conveyed support for law enforcement’s endeavors in bringing those who flout the law to justice. He expressed hope that these actions would serve as a step toward holding Combs accountable for his alleged reprehensible behavior.

Ventura herself had accused Combs of enduring years of rape and physical abuse, eventually reaching a settlement with him. Combs’ attorney, Benjamin Brafman, clarified the settlement as not admitting to wrongdoing.

Further allegations against Combs include claims from a woman who alleges she was underage at the time of the purported assault, as well as assertions that Combs coerced Jones into procuring sex workers for him. Several lawsuits also allege Combs drugged his victims, with one claiming he strangled a woman into unconsciousness, then dissuaded her from reporting the incident.

Combs has consistently refuted these accusations, maintaining his innocence amid mounting legal challenges. His attorney, Shawn Holley, dismissed Jones’ claims as baseless fabrications in a statement earlier this February.
