An Arkansas judge has found probably cause to charge Rebecca Lynn O’ Donnell, 48 with Capital Murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence.

O’Donnell was arrested on Friday evening when Arkansas State Police and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest in connection with the murder of the late Susan Collins-Smith, a former Arkansas State Senator who was investigating child sex trafficking.

The Judge has sealed all records in this case until it is finished. Kevin Bell, the Sheriff for Randolph County has told The DC Patriot that they cannot specify why she is a suspect because it would hamper an ongoing investigation.

The Arkansas State Police and Randolph County Sheriff’s Department are under gag order while investigating this case.

This is a developing story.
