On Sunday August 11th, Donald Trump did something he rarely does. He endorsed in a local county race.

Echoing his alignment with the Trump Club of Saint Johns County, Trump himself issued a full endorsement of three incumbent County Commissioners. The husband of Ann Taylor, challenger to Henry Dean has spoken to me in regards to the Trump endorsement. Ann Taylor has campaigned under the Indivisible messaging of “stop overdevelopment”. Mr. Taylor now claims that he heard the local developers paid Donald Trump 2 million dollars to endorse Whitehurst, Alaimo, and Dean. He now claims that he has not verified these claims, however he was not hesitant to pass them along.
UPDATE: In my initial reporting, I did not use the words “he heard” when describing Mr. Taylor’s knowledge of local developers paying Donald Trump. This was edited on the night of 8/11 to reflect that Mr. Taylor stated that he heard this was the case and was simply passing along unfounded gossip, much like a schoolchild. On the morning of 8/12. Mr. Taylor went on to threaten legal action against me if I did not make the changes that had already been made. The Taylor’s do not seem to be a fan of property rights nor free speech.

Mr. Taylor began the conversation by stating that they were handing out the official Saint Johns County Voter guide that contained the MAGA candidates. I then asked Mr. Taylor a follow up question. My question was, “Wouldn’t the Trump endorsed candidates be the MAGA candidates”? He then launced into a tirade about the Saint Johns County Trump Club (mentioned in Trump’s Truth Social post) and all of the endorsed candidates.
Is Rutherford MAGA? Leek, Shoar??? Susy Wiles in Duval county is a co-campaign manager and handles fund raising. If you pay to play you can get the approval to use Trump endorsed. Trump did not verbally endorse these 3 clowns and has probably never heard of them. One is a RINO who supported Andrew Gillum, Bill Nelson and Corrine Brown. I do agree with this pay for endorsements but realize raising money is a priority when fighting the massive influs of Globalist money Harris is bringing in. The samereason they ran you out is the reason they do not Ann Taylor to beat RINO Dean. Does Ann look like a RINO in this photo. She was a Trump Club member here in St Johns County and worked hard for his election in 2016 and 2020. She left the Trump club as did hundreds of others when the leadership endorsed the RINOs. Diane Scherf told complaining members they could leave if they didn’t like. Many did and the Trump Club became a PAC and is now funded by William Stafford Jones $$$. This is serious shit here in SJC.
Above is his response. Yesterday he called himself MAGA Jeff Taylor. Today he is accusing Trump of pay for play and saying that his endorsement is worthless. It remains to be seen if the voters of Saint Johns County will trust the consistent America First message of Diane Scherf and the Trump Club or will they fall for the marketing prowess of Indivisible activist Nicole Crosby.
Half of the Indivisible duo, Lisa Gaglianese seems to be parroting the same message. In a recent Facebook post she insinuates that the Trump endorsement was paid for.

In response to the allegations of Pay for Play I reached out directly to one of the current county commissioners who received a Trump endorsement. This is what Christian Whitehurst had to say:
It’s a tremendous honor to have the endorsement of President Trump. At the same time, I’m sad to see the people who have claimed to be supporters of President Trump and his policies, turn on him so quickly. To suggest that President Trump, a Billionaire, a man that can stand up to the onslaught of the liberal left and the main stream media’s attacks, is for sale, is an insult to all of us who have supported him for years. It also tells us that anyone, including President Trump, who is willing to step out of line with their way of thinking will be subjected to false accusations of corruption. Of course no money exchanged hands for an endorsement. Diane Scherff who started the first Trump Club in the State of Florida has been telling those closest to President Trump what I’ve been saying for the better part of a year, St. Johns County is under attack by the left. I am grateful to President Trump for being willing to engage in a fight for conservative values, even at the local level.

Two million dollars? Seems like a lot of money for a county commission position. When I was a kid, they cost between two and three thousand
