With the recent sham conviction of Donald Trump, precedent has been set. The precedent is that “election interference” can now be defined as anything. A social media post made by a Kentucky congressman apparently caught the attention of the Politifi crypto currency community.

Thomas Massie referenced the reporting that Congress paid 17 million dollars out of a slush fund to settle with victims of sexual harassment by its members. Details of these payments have been hidden and never been made public. Within hours, a bounty was offered to anyone willing to film an interaction with a member of congress.

The original call to action was made by Dustin Stockton and the original reward was $1,000 worth of $Laptop coins.

Within hours the bounty had grown nearly 7-fold as multiple crypto projects joined in call to action.

This is a perfect example of multiple communities blending to create positive change outside of the internet. Andrew Breitbart one famously said, “Politics is downstream from culture”. It would now appear that politics is creating culture both in the online realm and in real life. Nothing moves in politics without pressure, and true pressure can only be applied by constituents. It now appears that there are nearly 7,000 reasons for a bold activist to do so!
