Former President Donald Trump appeared to be laying the groundwork for a potential conviction in the trial concerning hush money and election fraud as he spoke to the press during the jury’s deliberation.
Exiting the courtroom during a recess, Trump directed his attention to the group of reporters he had previously ignored when entering the trial earlier that Wednesday. He expressed his frustration, suggesting that even someone as revered as “Mother Theresa” would struggle against the charges. His remarks seemed to convey more of a grievance about what he perceives as a biased trial rather than any acknowledgment of culpability.
Trump’s comments to the press reflected his belief that the trial judges were biased and corrupt due to conflicts of interest. He asserted, somewhat incoherently, that even an iconic figure like Mother Teresa would struggle against the charges, emphasizing his view that the entire trial was rigged. Trump criticized various aspects of the country, including border security and allegations of fraudulent elections, while lamenting the perceived unfairness of the trial proceedings. Despite his discontent, he suggested a determination to see the case through to its conclusion.
Trump concluded his remarks by persistently blaming the Department of Justice under President Joe Biden for the situation.
The DC Patriot will report as soon as a verdict is reached in this groundbreaking case.
