It was no surprise that Donald Trump endorsed Gaetz’s reelection campaign over the weekend. Donald Trump issued a glowing endorsement Sunday via a post on Truth Social. The post was then shared to X by Gaetz’s campaign manager and communications director Joel Valdez.

Gaetz is currently facing a late primary challenge from DEI advocate Aaron Dimmock.

Filled with a multitude of military veterans, the winner of Florida’s August primary should easy cruise to a general election victory. Matt Gaetz is a proven conservative fighter who has shown that he is more than willing to stand against uniparty pressure to fight for America First Values. Today’s Trump endorsement shows that Donald J. Trump sees the same fighter in Matt Gaetz as the rest of America.

Matt Gaetz famously led the charge to oust then speaker Kevin McCarthy from the 118th Congress. Apparently that fued is still ongoing.

Kevin McCarthy is intensifying his retaliatory efforts against Rep. Matt Gaetz.

In a conversation with POLITICO, McCarthy expressed support for Gaetz’s newly emerged primary opponent in Florida’s GOP race. Additionally, a senior adviser to McCarthy admitted to being involved in evaluating this challenger, Aaron Dimmock. McCarthy didn’t hold back in his critique of Gaetz, who spearheaded the bid to depose him as speaker last autumn.

“Gaetz is the Hunter Biden of the Republican Party,” McCarthy declared. “He’s facing off against a candidate who stands for pro-life values, supports the Second Amendment, received training at Pensacola, graduated from the Naval Academy, and served as a jet pilot defending our nation. Meanwhile, Gaetz’s track record involves being expelled from high school, engaging in drug use, and allegedly paying minors for sexual services.”

McCarthy’s remarks allude to the ongoing House Ethics Committee investigation surrounding allegations of Gaetz’s involvement in sexual activities with minors. ABC reported that the committee possesses a sworn statement implicating Gaetz’s presence at a gathering where illicit drugs were consumed. Gaetz has denied these accusations of drug use and sexual misconduct. His official biography on the nonpartisan platform Legistorm confirms his graduation from Niceville High School in Florida.

Additionally, the Department of Justice conducted its own inquiry as part of a sex trafficking investigation involving Gaetz. According to statements from Gaetz’s legal team and DOJ officials, no criminal charges were pursued.

In response, Gaetz extended an invitation to McCarthy to join him and Dimmock in their district, suggesting it would be advantageous for his campaign. He remarked, “I defeated Kevin McCarthy in Washington. I doubt he’ll fare any better when I have home-field advantage in North Florida.”
