As communities began to assess the extent of the damage, fears of further severe weather persisted. The National Weather Service issued tornado watches across several states, warning of potential large hail and strong winds.

As Nebraskans and Iowans grappled with the aftermath of this devastating tornado, the forecast for the following day remained ominous, underscoring the need for continued vigilance and preparedness in the face of severe weather threats.
