Kentucky Senator Rand Paul didn’t mince words when he took aim at Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, accusing him of steering the country down a Democrat-like path since taking office last year.
In an interview with Maria Bartiromo, Paul criticized Johnson’s leadership, particularly highlighting his support for a massive $1.5 trillion spending bill.
“It’s becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish between Mike Johnson’s agenda and that of the Democrats,” Paul remarked. “With the deficit skyrocketing to 1.5 to 2 trillion dollars, this spending spree, championed by Johnson and backed by a minority of Republicans and a majority of Democrats, is a clear abdication of fiscal responsibility.”

Paul didn’t stop there. He also slammed Johnson for his stance on reauthorizing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) without implementing safeguards to protect the privacy rights of American citizens, calling it a betrayal of constitutional principles.
He explained:

People have to be strong in their convictions. He was seen as a conservative before he came to the Speakership, but now he puts a tweet out the other day saying they whispered to him about 702, how important it is, and now he’s completely changed and lost all his principles on the idea that we shouldn’t spy on Americans without a warrant.
”
The Democrats got everything they want in the spending and all the hawks got what they want too, this is a problem on the Republican side. We have people who want unlimited military spending, and then the Democrats want unlimited welfare spending and they get both.
But Johnson hasn’t held his ground. He has the power, he has the majority, use the power of the purse, Speaker Johnson. Do something to make us think you are different than a Democrat but so far I don’t see a difference.

Earlier this week, Paul disclosed that in 2018, 15 federal agencies were informed about the Wuhan laboratory’s efforts in China to develop a COVID-19 virus. This revelation sheds light on the origins of the virus, which ultimately led to worldwide lockdowns, vaccine mandates, and an unprecedented expansion of government powers.

We’re going down, fast!
Yes, Rand Paul, I am with U 100%.
Johnson has betrayed The Republicans(&American People)!
He is a Wolfe in sheep’s clothing.
How he can look in the mirror & like what he sees proves he is not what he says he is. We, as long as we have the majority in the house, must get a Speaker in who will NOT BE ANOTHER RHINO. If Republicans want to act like Democrats let them become Democrats. Don’t be liars &
Traitors. Those should be shot! There are very few Leislatirs we can believe. Johnson is a liar for sure!He has to go, NOW!
