Biden’s Immigration Chaos: Michigan Asks Citizens to House Illegal Immigrants

In a bizarre move, the state of Michigan has turned to its residents to address the housing crisis stemming from unchecked illegal immigration.

The Office of Global Michigan, a part of the state’s Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, issued a statement urging citizens to volunteer as “sponsors” for refugees, tasking them with responsibilities like welcoming newcomers, finding housing, enrolling children in schools, and aiding adults in securing employment.

While Michigan stops short of explicitly asking people to take in illegal aliens, it’s clear that the burden of addressing this crisis is being shifted onto the shoulders of everyday Americans.

This approach isn’t isolated to Michigan. Last year, Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll made a direct plea to residents, asking those with spare rooms to host migrant families, framing it as a solution to the pressing housing needs.

However, the appeal for assistance may fall flat among citizens who are growing increasingly frustrated with the handling of the illegal immigration crisis by both federal and local governments, particularly in blue states.

From displacing children from schools to evicting elderly veterans from nursing homes, the actions of blue state governments have left a bitter taste in the mouths of residents, making the idea of opening their homes to illegal aliens less appealing.

Furthermore, concerns about public safety persist, with reports emerging regularly of migrants crossing the border illegally and committing violent crimes against American citizens.
