Joe Biden made a pit stop at a restaurant in sunny Los Angeles, California, following a busy day of glad-handing at a campaign fundraiser.
The 81-year-old president is showing clear signs of wear and tear, both physically and mentally. Even the special counsel investigating his alleged mishandling of classified documents couldn’t help but note Biden’s advanced age and questionable memory.
His stumble up the stairs to Air Force One on Tuesday was just the latest in a series of public mishaps highlighting his declining health.
During his restaurant visit, Biden appeared disoriented and unsteady, prompting Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass to step in and field questions on his behalf.
As a reporter attempted to engage him on the topic of his upcoming State of the Union Address, Biden could only manage a confused “Pardon me? What?”
Quick on her feet, Mayor Bass interjected with a bold proclamation: “He’s gonna win re-election anyway!” she declared, attempting to salvage the awkward moment.
But the truth is evident in Biden’s bewildered expression he’s not in control. His handlers swiftly ushered away the press, shielding him from any further scrutiny he’s clearly unable to handle.
