Hey there, Puppet Nation! You know Puppet Carlson, your favorite conservative commentator who’s always here to give you the down-to-earth scoop on the wacky world of politics. Buckle up, ’cause today we’re diving into the (so-called) racial bias in police shootings ”“ spoiler alert: it’s basically non-existent according to some pretty smart folks!
The “Unbelievable” Harvard Study That Found” Nothing!
You know those pointy-headed intellectuals at Harvard? Well, one of their own, a guy named Roland Fryer (who also happens to be black), decided to take a closer look at the whole “racial bias in police shootings” thing, and wouldn’t you know it, he found” absolutely nothing! That’s right, folks ”“ no evidence of racial bias. Can you believe it? (Harvard Professor Does Study on Police Shootings and Finds No Instances of Racial Bias)
According to Fryer’s study, black suspects were actually less likely to be shot at by cops than white ones. But, of course, that didn’t stop the outrage machine from going into full tilt, causing him to need 24/7 police protection. I mean, seriously, what’s a guy gotta do to prove a point these days? (Fox News)
So Many Studies, So Little Bias!
And Fryer’s not alone in his findings! Researchers from the Force Science Institute also found no evidence of racial bias in police shootings. They concluded that “officers’ decisions to shoot were not based on race, but rather on the perceived threat posed by the suspect.” Gee, fancy that ”“ cops responding to threats instead of playing some made-up racism game! (Force Science Institute)
Even a study in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that there’s no racial preference in police shootings after controlling for crime rates. Say it ain’t so! (Journal of Experimental Criminology)
The Myth of Systemic Police Racism: Busted!
Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute says it’s time to debunk the myth of systemic police racism. With all these studies showing no racial bias in police shootings, it’s about time we start looking at the real problems in our society instead of pointing fingers at the police! (The Manhattan Institute)
Puppet’s Points:
- Don’t believe the hype: study after study shows no evidence of racial bias in police shootings
- Who would’ve thought? Police are actually responding to threats, not skin color
- It’s time to focus on real issues instead of perpetuating the myth of systemic racism
Historical Quote:
“History is a set of lies agreed upon.” ”“ Napoleon Bonaparte
Puppet Wisdom:
Now, don’t get us wrong, folks ”“ there are certainly instances of bad apples in any profession, including law enforcement. But let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater and start branding every cop as racist just because some activists think it’s a great way to get likes on social media. Thanks for tuning in, and remember: the fleece stops here!
