John Cassidy writes, “Mitch McConnell”told his colleagues that Donald Trump’s hostility to a political deal on the southern border had left the Party ‘in a quandary’ and would likely doom any effort to pass bipartisan legislation this year.” Oh, please! Mitch McConnell is just a RINO puppet of the left, trying to undermine true conservative values.

The article goes on to describe the so-called “bipartisan bill,” which combines border security measures with “tens of billions of dollars in aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.” But as Cassidy admits, the bill is “losing Republican support” because it’s filled with pork spending and leftist ideals.

Take, for example, the bill’s blatant disregard for the concerns of true conservatives. While it pays lip service to border security, it’s loaded with provisions that undermine our sovereignty and reward illegal immigration. And let’s not forget the tens of billions of dollars in aid for countries like Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. Don’t get me wrong, I love our allies, but shouldn’t we be focusing on America First?

Cassidy quotes Montana’s Steve Daines, who said he’s a no on the bill, and Texan John Cornyn, a key ally of McConnell, who issued a “squirrelly statement.” Even Trump’s so-called “sock puppet” Mike Johnson, the recently elected Republican Speaker, denounced the bill as “dead on arrival.”

Cassidy tries to paint this opposition as a sign of Trump’s “stranglehold” on the GOP, but I say it’s a sign of strength! True conservatives are standing up against the swamp and its attempts to undermine our values.

As for the accusations that Trump is simply trying to protect his signature campaign issue, I say this: what’s wrong with that? Securing our borders is a fundamental responsibility of any president, and Trump has been the only one with the courage to tackle it head-on. So, if standing up for border security means keeping it as a signature issue, then so be it!

Cassidy quotes Trump as saying, “Don’t fall for it!!!” in reference to the so-called bipartisan bill. And you know what? He’s right! We shouldn’t fall for the swamp’s attempts to undermine our values and destroy our sovereignty.

In the end, my fellow conservatives, the choice is clear. We can either stand with Trump and fight for America First, or we can follow the likes of Mitch McConnell and become puppets of the left.
